Powering the Future: Global Rotomoulding Invests in Large-Scale Solar at QLD Site

At Global Rotomoulding, investing in the future has always meant investing in how we manufacture. Whether it’s adopting new technologies, embracing automation, or refining our systems and processes, we never stop looking for ways to strengthen our operations for the long term.

Today, we’re proud to share another major step forward at our Queensland site, a significant renewable energy project that’s now well and truly taking shape.

A Major Solar and Battery Investment

Across our two sheds, we’re installing a combined 150kW solar system, backed by 54kW of battery storage. The project is already underway, and the recent drone footage of the newly installed panels really brings home the scale of what’s being built above our facility.

This is about far more than placing solar panels on a roof. It’s part of a broader commitment to creating a smarter, more efficient manufacturing operation, one that can keep supporting customers right across Australia for years to come.

Why This Investment Matters

Energy costs and supply challenges continue to put pressure on manufacturers around the world. Initiatives like this one help us build a stronger, more resilient future. By generating and storing our own renewable energy, we can improve operational efficiency while making real progress toward our long-term sustainability goals.

Manufacturing never stands still, and neither do we. We believe it’s vital to keep moving forward by adopting new technology, lifting efficiency, and continuing to make quality products right here in Australia.

What’s Next?

The drone footage offers a fantastic perspective on just how much work has already gone into this project, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress so far. We’ll be sharing more updates as the installation continues to take shape.

This is the kind of forward-thinking investment that keeps Australian manufacturing competitive, sustainable, and ready for whatever comes next. We’re committed to building a smarter operation that delivers for our customers, our team, and the communities we serve.

The future is looking bright.
