Leverage funding to build water security and protect biodiversity with Global Rotomoulding
Queensland’s natural beauty and biodiversity are treasures worth protecting, and now, community groups across the state have an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. The Grassroots Environmental Grants program is officially open, offering funding to support practical, community-led projects that safeguard and enhance both the natural and built environments of Queensland.
This initiative is designed to empower local organisations to take action on environmental conservation, providing the resources needed to tackle challenges like habitat restoration, water security, and biodiversity protection. Whether you’re upgrading equipment to improve efficiency or rolling up your sleeves for on-ground conservation work, these grants are here to help turn your vision into reality.

What’s on Offer in Round 1: Environmental Conservation?
The first round of the Grassroots Environmental Grants focuses on Environmental Conservation and offers two tiers of funding:
- Up to $15,000 for equipment and facility upgrades including efficient irrigation systems, water tanks, sheds, PPE, camera traps.
- Up to $30,000 for on-ground conservation efforts, such as revegetation, habitat restoration, and erosion control.
This funding is designed to support projects that deliver tangible environmental benefits while fostering community involvement and stewardship.
Applications close at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, 8 October 2025, and must be submitted via SmartyGrants.
