800L Mixing Tank – Supporting Integrated Agricultural Systems
Home / Case Studies / 800L Mixing Tank – Supporting Integrated Agricultural Systems
Overview
At a recent agricultural field day, one of our customers showcased a complete chemical batching and drone filling system. The foundation of this impressive setup was our 800L mixing tank and base.
While the finished setup presents as a fully integrated, state-of-the-art solution, this project highlights exactly how modern agricultural systems come to life. We supply the core tank and base, and our partners build the specialised system around it.
The challenge
Modern agricultural operations are evolving at a rapid pace. We are seeing a massive shift toward drone spraying systems, mobile batching units, and compact, transportable setups.
These advanced applications require specific hardware to function properly:
- Reliable storage and mixing vessels
- Flexible integration with various pumps and control systems
- Efficient use of limited space on trailers and custom skid builds
One of the greatest challenges for system builders is finding a core tank that actually supports their vision. The tank must not restrict the overall system design.
It needs to adapt easily to different pump and plumbing configurations. Above all, it must perform consistently under tough, real-world conditions out in the field.
The solution
To meet these rigorous demands, Global supplied a blank-canvas foundation consisting of:
- An 800L mixing tank
- An engineered base designed for secure mounting and stability
- Standard fittings with no pre-installed outlet
Supplying the tank without a pre-drilled outlet gives system builders complete flexibility. They can configure the exact outlet size and position they need. They can match specific pump and plumbing requirements. They can integrate additional hardware seamlessly without having to patch or rework the tank.
As the demand for this flexibility has grown, we have also introduced a 1200L version of this tank. We developed this larger model specifically for OEM customers who require higher-volume batching capacity while maintaining the exact same integration flexibility.
The build-out (by others)
The completed system developed by our customer is a perfect example of applied engineering. Their finished setup included:
- A high-capacity pump and transfer system
- A dedicated chemical induction and batching setup
- A custom trailer-mounted frame and secure work platform
- Seamless integration with advanced drone spraying equipment
This build clearly demonstrates how a standard, durable tank platform can be adapted into a highly specialised operational system.

Why tank-only supply matters
Rather than supplying a fixed, pre-configured system, providing only the tank and base offers critical advantages for system builders:
- Flexibility in Design – Every chemical batching system has different flow rates, pressure needs, and layout requirements. A blank tank accommodates them all.
- No Rework Required – Pre-installed outlets often need modification or moving. By leaving the outlet placement up to the builder, we help them avoid unnecessary and costly changes.
- Better System Compatibility – Builders can easily match the tank to their specific pump size, plumbing configuration, and chemical handling requirements.
- Scalable Across Applications – The same fundamental tank design platform can now be used across multiple setups. Builders can use the 800L systems for compact setups or upgrade to the 1200L systems for higher-volume operations. The foundation works equally well for drone stations, traditional spray rigs, and mobile batching applications.
Real-world performance
As successfully demonstrated at the field day, the 800L tank integrates perfectly into a demanding working environment.
The tank supports highly efficient chemical batching and rapid fluid transfer. It plays a central role in reducing hazardous manual handling for operators. Furthermore, it operates flawlessly within a mobile, trailer-based setup that travels across rough terrain.
This reflects exactly how we intend for these tanks to be used. They are built to serve as a reliable part of a larger system, rather than trying to be the entire system itself.
The outcome
This project highlights a fundamental truth about how modern agricultural systems are built. The absolute best results come from combining specialised components, not from forcing a one-size-fits-all solution onto an operator.
- The system builder delivered the full, operational setup.
- The operator defined exactly how the equipment needed to work in the field.
- Global provided the durable tank and engineered base that made the entire build possible.
Key takeaway
We do not build the full system. We build the vital component that everything else relies on.
By supplying a rugged tank, a stable base, and a highly flexible starting point, we empower our customers and OEM partners to do their best work. We enable them to create agricultural systems that are perfectly fit-for-purpose, highly efficient, and truly built to handle real-world conditions.
